Section 6 (Health Hazard Data)
************************************************************************INHALATION HEALTH RISKS:
Product may be irritating to upper respiratory tract.
SKIN ABSORPTION HEALTH RISKS:
Absorption through the skin is highly unlikely. Prolonged or repeated skin contact can cause irritation.
EYE CONTACT HEALTH RISKS:
Product is mildly irritating to the eyes.
INGESTION HEALTH RISKS:
This is not a probable route under normal conditions, however, if swallowed accidentally or intentionally may produce gastrointestinal problems.
HEALTH HAZARDS (ACUTE AND CHRONIC):
There is no data to support any chronic effect.
CARCINOGENICITY: NTP? Yes IARC MONOGRAPHS? Yes OSHA REGULATED? Yes
Product contains chemical that is reported as a potential carcinogen. This problem is not anticipated, when the product is used as recommended.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE:
Under conditions of normal use, chronic effects are not expected. There may be possible aggravation of pre-existing skin conditions.
EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
Inhalation:
Remove person to fresh air and if difficulty persists, get immediate medical attention.
Ingestion:
Do not induce vomiting. Give individual two glasses of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek immediate medical attention.
Skin Contact:
Wash affected area with soap and water and seek medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
Eye Contact:
As with any foreign material in the eyes, they should be flushed with copious amount of water for at least 15 minutes. If signs or symptoms persist, get medical attention.
Section 7 (Precautions for Safe Handling)
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL SPILLED OR RELEASED:
Use inert absorbent material to dike the spill. Spread absorbent over material and scrape up material/absorbent and place in an approved container.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD:
Do not dump into any sewers, on the ground or in any waterways. Definitely keep away from storm drains. Dispose of material in accordance with local, state or federal regulations.
PRECAUTIONS FOR HANDLING AND STORING:
Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact, breathing vapors from open container, and wash thoroughly after use or handling. Keep containers closed and keep from freezing.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS:
Keep out of reach of children.
Section 8 (Control Measures)
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:
Under normal conditions, respiratory protection is not expected to be necessary but if required use a properly fitted NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator.
VENTILATION:
Use local exhaust as needed to maintain occupational exposure limits.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES:
Wear impervious gloves to avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact.
EYE PROTECTION:
Wear chemical splash goggles (ANSI Z87.1 or approved equivalent)
OTHER PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT:
Prevent skin contact by wearing long-sleeved shirt, long pants, boots or other protective clothing that will ensure skin non-contact.
WORK/HYGENIC PRACTICES:
Wash any area contacted by material with pH neutral soap and water. In general, launder any clothing before re-use and always wash hands with soap and water before eating or touching skin.
